Update:

I am sad to report that Sydney passed away.May you rest in peace little angel.

Please visit http://www.sydneyfund.com for more information on how you can help fight Neuroblastoma.

A Mother's Plea For Help :

My name is Sheryl Bartone. My 5 year old daughter was recently diagnosed
with Stage 4 (high risk) neuroblastoma. It's a rare form of cancer that only
attacks children. 500-600 a year. They say that the type of neuroblastoma my
daughter has comes with a 75-80% chance of death within 5 years, if not from
the cancer then from the intense treatment that is needed. My baby girl has already been through 2 sessions of Chemotherapy which are  72 consecutive hours long, she needs at least 4 more with sessions 3 and 5 being stronger than the others and lasting for 4 straight days. She has had several transfusions and has been hospitalized for infection because her white cell count is next to nothing and she can't fight off everyday bacteria. The doctors placed a central line in my daughters chest. It is connected to a main vein that pumps into her heart. This is how she gets her Chemotherapy. This "line" has to stay there until she can beat the cancer. But because of this line she can't go swimming, take a bubble bath or even
play with water guns. If it gets wet she can get the site infected and that infection could kill her. She will not start school in September either, school is a breeding ground for germs that she can't handle either. She was just hospitalized because she had a side effect to one of the Chemo drugs that caused her GI tract to shutdown.
I have been trying so hard writing to companies to see if they would donate even one item anything for a raffle. I keep getting the same response that they are giving to larger organizations, i.e. breast cancer, boys and girls club. This is a wonderful thing. Please realize there is no organization for neuroblastoma it is virtually unknown. There aren't any major companies funding any programs for neuroblastoma. So before you set yourselves in a
firm "no" response and wish me luck with my daughter at least goto her website or read up on neuroblastoma. I do need luck. Lots of it.
Local companies think larger companies can help and the large companies always feel sorry and tell me to try local.
Please keep my daughter in your prayers.

Sydney has a website

EVEN ONE ITEM DONATED WOULD HELP SO MUCH!

Thankyou

My daughter and I are constantly going back and forth to the hospital. More time in hospital than out. The easiest way to contact me is via email.
